En ce moment une musique céleste se fait entendre. L'apsara Misrakési descend du ciel, et au fond du théatre on aper?oit Sacountala sur son b?cher, dont les flammes se changent en fleurs sous la puissante influence de l'apsara protectrice.
En même temps, des torrents de lumière, où tourbillonnent des génies bienfaisants, inondent le fond du théatre; des foules d'apsaras et de filles célestes apparaissent sur les terrasses les plus élevées du palais.
Sacountala radieuse se jette dans les bras du roi, qui tombe à ses pieds et implore une grace déjà accordée.
Hamsati, se dégageant des mains de ses gardiens, s'incline devant Sacountala, et vient baiser humblement le bord de son voile. Sacountala lui pardonne.
Douchmanta remet au doigt de Sacountala l'anneau royal, qu'elle ne perdra pas cette fois, et se prosterne devant l'apsara Misrakési, qui remonte au ciel.
Pas de deux.
