trop persuadés que s'il est des moyens de rendre cet établissement plus
utile au Public & plus avantageux aux finances de l'État, ils ne
sauroient échapper aux lumières réunies des augustes Représentants de
la Nation. Soit qu'ils jugent à propos de laisser subsister le régime
actuel, soit qu'ils croyent devoir en adopter un autre, les Fermiers
s'estimeront heureux de pouvoir seconder leurs vues. Ils ont la
confiance de penser qu'ils y seroient admis de préférence; & que
l'expérience qu'ils ont acquise par un travail long & constant, autant que
les dédommagements qui seroient légitimement dûs à une dépossession,

sollicitent également cet acte de faveur & même de justice.
