SCHAHABAHAM

(Tous se lèvent)

LAGINGEOLE

Seigneur, quand me paiera-t-on mes émoluments comme gouverneur de
vos enfants?
TRISTAPATTE
Et moi comme ours, hein?
SCHAHABAHAM
Il est encore bon, celui-là, il m'en fait gober de toutes les couleurs et, sa
tête à la main, demande son salaire. Partagez vous les douze mille sous
d'or.
COUPLET FINAL.--(A Marécot).

MARÉCOT

(Tristapatte à Marécot, l'invitant à passer devant lui pour parler au
public; il se font tous deux plusieurs révérences comiques et Tristapatte
commence le second couplet final.)
(A Marécot).

MARÉCOT
Monsieur, c'est à vous, ce me semble.
TRISTAPATTE
Monsieur, vous devez commencer.

MARÉCOT
Eh bien! commençons donc ensemble.
(Tous deux au public).
Je crains que plus d'un trait malin Sur mon collègue et moi n'éclate,
Mais vous pouvez d'un coup de main Nous sauver plus d'un coup de
