Description:
The Fast and the Furious Fugitive is based on a ten-minute short that chronicles Brian's escape from Los Angeles after helping Dom evade the police. What follows in a road chase from Southern California to Miami, with stops in several cities to earn much-needed cash and new cars. With all the heat on his ride, Brian needs new wheels to avoid police detection long enough to slip over state lines. Along the way, Brian encounters a few characters in the street racing scene that also make minor appearances in the game. I-play also has minor parts for Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez for the opening chapter of the mobile game, set in LA.
Fugitive is constructed of four chapters, each set in a different city in the south: LA, Santa Fe, Baton Rouge, and Miami. The goal is to earn enough cash to leave town. But how you earn that cash is actually up to you -- and this gives Fugitive some surprising depth.
This is no point A to point Z racer. You can enter straightforward street races to win money or explore each city's story mode to take on missions. Don't dread -- the missions are available from a menu, you don't have to spend your entire bus ride just searching out a race event. Missions include evading cops for as set amount of time, escorting people across town, and disabling a rival car by means of turning your own ride into a 1,500-pound cruise missile.
