A midlet (mobile java application) containing the central London tube map, and night and day bus maps can be downloaded here. It should work with any phone that supports MIDP 2.0 and CLDC 1.1 (i.e. most modern phones). There is also a searchable Street Map of London available. It is awesome.

Smooth scrolling street map of lots of London. This uses images from streetmap.co.uk.
Zoom in and out.
You can search for streets. This sometimes doesn't work, but usually it does.

Installation:
Download the appropriate .jar file. Don't use your phone to do this unless you have a data plan.
Copy it to your phone using bluetooth, a usb cable, or the memory card in your phone.
Run it.
Usage:
Simply run the midlet, and navigate the map using the up/down/left/right keys. You can also use the numbers. 5 takes you back to the middle of the map, except for the tube map where it zooms and # takes you to the middle.
